THIS CHURCH IS AN INCLUSIVE CHURCH

Inclusive Church is a network of churches, groups and individuals uniting together around a shared vision

We believe in inclusive church – a church which celebrates and affirms every person and does not discriminate.

The Church of the Transfiguration is an inclusive church where everyone is welcome. This means that regardless of your race, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, socio-economic status or disability, you are welcomed with open arms into this community.

At the heart of this welcoming attitude is the belief that every person is created in the image and likeness of God. Therefore, no one should be discriminated against or excluded based on their differences. This belief is rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ, who preached love, compassion and acceptance towards all individuals.

The Church of the Transfiguration strives to create an environment where diversity is celebrated and embraced. The community recognises that each person brings unique gifts and talents, and these differences enrich the church's collective experience.

In addition to welcoming individuals from all backgrounds, the church also actively works towards promoting social justice and equality. This includes advocating for marginalized communities and supporting initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity.

By embracing a culture of acceptance and inclusion, the Church of the Transfiguration hopes to create a safe and nurturing space where individuals can freely express themselves without fear of judgement or discrimination. This creates a sense of belonging and unity within the community, fostering strong relationships and a deepening of one's spiritual journey.
